Two good causes I think? I can’t decided which one so I decided on both
In two hours 15 minutes at something like an average of 13.9 mile an hours (I can’t remember, think it was that, we where using my Dad’s computer)
Yesterday I did 10 miles in about 40 minutes, but that was just a flat out attempt.
I’ve noticed I’m starting to feel healthier, I’ve also started leading a bit more this time, which means my dad isn’t doing 25% of the work for me by giving me his slip stream.
But for all that I’m making burgers and chips tonight for tea… Although these chips are rediculously pampered…
I’m boiling them, cooling them, frying them, cooling them then frying them once more…
Just trying something new since last time I made chips they where shite.. Think really I need to change the oil but I can’t be arsed at preasent. If these come out burned I shall try change the oil. Until then, oil remains!
Only did about 15 miles, but I went as fast as i could up each hill so I got shattered really quickly…
Hoping to do about 30 miles next week, then I’m going to actually start paying more attention to my training and start thinking about what I’m doing
Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?
I’ll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let’s compare scars, I’ll tell you whose is worse
Let’s unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand
I’ve been here so long, I think that it’s time to move
The winter’s so cold, summer’s over too soon
Let’s pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow
I’ve got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we’ve had some times, I wouldn’t trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand….until you hold my hand
I’ll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let’s compare scars, I’ll tell you whose is worse
Let’s unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand
The bit’s in bold, I never really listened to them until yesterday. If things are difficult, don’t let them take over your world and be all you can focus on, make them change, make them work, make them easy. But you have to work at them.
If things are great, remember the moment and cherish it, we might not be able to re live them but we can remember them, smile at them and say “we did that” we wont be able to forever, our lives will change, we wont be able to do the fun things we do as kids, but we’ll be able to do great things as adults as well.
Cheaper then the train and more direct
:p
And I just looked at the train prices for Lands End to John O’groats, it’s gonna cost us £160 each way, and getting back is going to be 19 hours on the train! Fook!
Rail card is in order I think
Arguing for the fun of it :)
Okay, when someone says “America” I generally think of the united states. They are all the different states of America. So all the accents are American. Much like the counties of each of the individual countries of the British Isles
Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland (if we’re gonna get picky) and Southern Ireland, these are different countries, However you can find them all on the British Isles. But you could then argue that they are the accents of Britain.
And for you’re final comment. The English accent isn’t the London one… We have many accents here as well..
Just saying for the fun of the argument.. That isn’t going to continue :)
well i do say!
i can actually tell the difference between someone from california and alabama, just sayin’. lol. i dont get why you’re so riled about the post before yours though. its just a statement, no need to get your knickers in a twist love.

And because this is me, within a ten mile bike ride I could already work out things that needed changing.
First thing I noticed was that I ran out of gears way to fast for a road bike, so I think a new cassette is in order, but I’m going to hold off on that for a while.
I also noticed that when I’m just pedaling along with my hands on the bar I’m comfortable, but then when I want to put my hands on the drops and get some decent speed I feel cramped up, which seems to cause a slight knot in my shoulders :( But this is something they told me to expect because I have long arms apparently, and they said if it’s a problem they will change the stem for me for free :)
I also noticed that the tires are to wide. I knew that when I bought it, the tires I’m going to put on it are probably 1/3 of the size
Finally I noticed that the breaks were not that responsive, I think this is partially because they haven’t been bedded in yet and partially because they’re cantileavers whch are shite. Again, I knew I needed to change them.
But, I’m only going to change the tires, might look at the breaks next month, depending on the affect of changing the tires, if they’re struggling to stop me now, when I put slicks on they’ll be even worse…
Although, when I speak to my workmates, they’re all in their late 20s so they think that I’m really young having been born in 1990!!
I used to get confused when writing essays and I realised my sources where 5 years old… I think 5 years ago was the 90’s :P
Hoping Steph doesn’t wanna watch Stargazers, just so I can watch it whilst she does her maths and then I can go to bed :)
Urgh early tomorrow… 7:15 I’m due in! I want sleep!
Why am I stuipidly busy? If I’m not sorting things out around the flat I’m trying to do some training.
At least it’s my graduation on Friday, I’ll finally have the peice of paper that says my qualification on it. But I don’t know if I can be bothered with the ceramony, it’s not really anything special to me, I didn’t really make many friends at uni, I was sad, I struggled with uni so tried really hard with it, and it paid off, but I’m not fussed about this after party everyone’s organised, just looking forward to spending time with my parents and my girlfriend and then maybe going for a meal on the way home, dunno, really just hoping to stop by the Rook, best pub ever.
So, just got this bike so I can do Lands End to John O’Groats in the Summer…
I’ve ridden it from the shop to my flat (I’m really busy today so couldn’t go for a ride on it, hope to go on one at the weekend) and I’ve already decided that I’m changing the tires… Actually I decided that when I bought it, And I’m thinking about changing the groupset on it as well… But That will depend on how fit I get in the months to come.
Steph looked at it and just said “The pedals are tiny!” She says that every time she see’s one of my bikes… I swap the pedals from one to the other every fecking time I go on one (Yeah, the other thing I need to buy is some pedals for it :P)
But yeah, nice shiny new bike to play on :)
Or what’s been finished so far anyway…
But yeah, Game of Thrones.. That one was interesting, it wasn’t completely political, the last half of book 3 was annoyingly so… Books shouldn’t do politics when you have to remember about 30 names and places, and how they’re involved.
But yeah, at least this book only has one person who talks about politics, the rest talk about war/finding someone, sounds boring, but it’s quiet interesting because you’re trying to find out whats happened to these people since they’re main characters in the series and can affect the plot
Anyway, quick bite of breakfast, read my book then go see my nephew and get him all hyper :)
I don’t see this as a bad thing, it helps with patient contact.
I just think it would be difficult in reality, as the report says, there isn’t the staff, and it could easily just turn into a chore that needs to be completed.. And I would get really pissed off at someone coming up to me every hour and asking about my needs.. If I’m sat in the lounge I would probably tell the nurse to piss off and ask me in private what’s bothering me…
But from my experience, if I went round the the ward asking each service user if I could help with anything I don’t think I’d be able to get round everyone in an hour due to the complex needs of a twenty bedded mental health ward. This would require the whole nursing team (Assistants and all) to do it, but it could also break down theraputic boundaries, some times you can’t give someone too much attention because that can help play into the illness.
I think this is a good idea… But it does need to be looked at in approach… particularly in mental health.
You know, the one’s that make you go “Oh shit” but in a good way?
Then I made it more manly by farting
