So day off
I actually have more days off then working, I still don’t get how that makes me better off :s
But yeah, finished my first week as a Staff Nurse, it’s a strange, the amount of responsibility I have, I’m not having to get my worked looked over (although I am on things I’m not sure about) And if I do it, I don’t need to counter sign it.
I’m starting having to make decisions and when I do make that decision I have to be able to say why.
The thing I’m annoyed about though is I’ve just started to get settled and then next week I’m on my trust induction week… Then I return and everything will have changed and I’ll have to start again and get to know what I’m doing again.
But so far I’ve really enjoyed this week, it’s busy and stressful and hard work. But this is the sort of work I really want to do.
And one thing that I guess helps is that I know most of the staff that come along… Although one does question me on a computer… He doesn’t understand how I can touch type without even looking at the screen or the keyboard (Was typing up some notes) and was convinced I was cheating…
